This is to announce the following scheduling changes in meetings this week:

 

1)  Legislative Briefing with Retirement Fund on Recent Court Judgment — moved to 3:00pm today, Tuesday, August 25 in the House Chamber.  The meeting was originally scheduled for 2pm.

 

2)  Legislative Briefing with Senate Energy Committee Staffers – moved to 9:30am, Thursday, August 27 in the House Chamber.  The meeting was originally scheduled for 10am.

1)  Zoning Board Public Hearing on the Proposed Beach Road Corridor Improvement Plan – today, Tuesday, August 25, 6:00pm @ the Multipurpose Center in Susupe.  For more information contact the Saipan Zoning Office at 234-9661.

 

2)  Retirement Fund Public Hearings on NMIRF Resolutions 09-002 & 09-003 – Wednesday, August 26, 6:30pm at the Multipurpose Center in Susupe.  Resolution 09-002 would restrict the Fund from processing any amendments or additions to originally filed Applications for Retirement that would add beneficiaries arising through adoption for purposes of the computation of survivor benefits; Res. 09-003 would cease the processing of refunds of employee contributions.  For more information call the NMIRF at 322-3863.

 

3)  House Committee on Commerce & Tourism Call for Public Comments on Senate Bill 16-60 – by Monday, August 31.  Senate Bill 16-60 proposes to enhance enforcement powers under the Alcohol Beverage Control Act.  For more information, contact Commerce & Tourism Chair Rep.
